Daniel Duffy started doing "word art" just 8 short years ago. He is now a
full time artist creating hand-made images commemorating rock stars,
sports teams, athletes and landmarks.
Duffy cultivated this image of the Glimmer Twins, Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, during their peak performing years using song titles from the first 20 years of their career to form their likenesses. According to Duffy, the Stones were a top request for a while. “Whenever someone happened to suggest a piece, no matter what it was, there was always another guy in the background shouting, ‘Do the Stones!’, and they always seemed to be my kind of people.
So, the Rolling Stones became a comparison for every other idea I had. ‘Why should I do this other piece instead of the Stones?’” Well, here you have it…this is Dan Duffy's open edition fine print featuring the most recognizable duo powering the world's greatest rock band still performing today...the Rolling Stones.
